can someone please list the pros and cons of and under-gravel filter?

Pro - it stirs up the gravel

Con - It doesn't work as well as a canister filter from my experience

Also you can't use sand with UGF as they get blocked - if you're into sand

Which it seems like a lot of people who have kept fish for a few years usually are. When I first started keeping fish I used gravel, now I only use sand, it's just much better.
