Any suggestions/advice on stocking greatly appreciated

Sounds like fun - you cant beat setting up a new tank :D :D

The only thing I would say is that the shoals will dissapear in the 300l ank :)

we have the 240 with 7 cory Triline and 6 peppered and we see them out and about.

x-rays will need to be in a lot larger schoal to make an impression :) - we had 9 in a 120L and they looked great... I'd up the number of those 2 and see how it looks :)

I'd also trade in the guppys - 300L is a lot od space for teh fry to hide in when you're trying to catch them! (we gave up trying in our 350 and got 2 pictus to "control" the population of endlers after I made the mistake of adding a pair :D)

We only have male guppies and have no plans on adding females so not that concenrned about finding fry :good:

Going to add maybe 4 more xrays to take our total up to 8 but will consider a few more see your point about them getting 'lost' in there lol

Wondering about corydoras as when the plecs grow up will there be enough room on the bottom level for all of them?

Thank you for your reply I know there are a lot of stocking thread in here :good:
