well ive just had an idea for a project tank to fill i tiny little alcove in my wall, problem is its ludicrously small and im not sure if i could actually keep anything in it. The tank would only be about 1.5 litres, and couldnt be heated/filtered, although refular water changes wouldnt be a problem. Any ideas for a fish I could keep in there, if any?

1.5 litre is extremley small, maybe you could keep one extremley small fish in there, but it would have to be a coldwater fish and it would have to be a fish that doesn't move much. Don't know if one of these exists.

yeah i know, im not sure if such a fish exists either so I was wondering if anyone here could help. My friend used to keep siamese fighters in similar sized heated tanks, but this would have to be cold water unless someone knows of an extremely small heater?

you may be able to fit a small 25 watt heater down the side.Might look a bit stupid tho with such a small tank but might be worth a go?

I wouldn't bother. If it isn't even a gallon then the fish isn't going to be happy, and being taller than long, there won't be much swimming room. Besides that I think it would be too much of a hassle to make such a small purpose built tank.

1.5 ltrs is less than half a gallon. There is no fish that will fit into that tank, not even a betta. As for coldwater fish, whoever suggested that, they tend to need larger tanks in proportion to their size because of their greater oxygen consumption.
