Nitrites are taking, way to long to process... Over two weeks now and still no improvment. I've done a 50 litre water change over two days. If I do another one tomoz do you think this will significantly help?

If you are doing water changes you must be cycling WITH fish, yes?

2 weeks is about the time it takes to start processing AMMONIA, nitrite processing takes MUCH longer.

What is your set-up?

Fishless cycle...

75 litre tank..

Ammonia started processing bout 2 weeks ago...

Is no nitrite processing at all (is the nitrate not rising) or has it just not dropped back to zero yet? As a general rule, it takes twic as long for the nitrite do drop to zero as it did the ammonia. So if the ammonia dropped back to zero 10 days after you first added it, then the nitrite would take about another 20 days.

Ammonia didnt take long, litterally like a week. Nitrite hasent processed for 2 weeks. No nitrates appearing.

What is the pH of your tank? At low pH levels, bacterial reproduction slows or stops. You say that no nitrate is appearing but do you have any type nitrate removal media in your filter that could be removing the nitrate as it forms? If those aren't the problems then you may have to start all over. Do you have any other tanks running that you cold move media over into this one to jump start it?

Just a thought......you have dechlorinated all water that has been introduced into your tank?

I have declorinated all my water :D Sorry you posted before I finished testing.
