HI,
I bought some mail order Java Moss and when it arrived it was very healthy and bright green. After a couple of weeks in my tank it appears to be turning brown and not growing. It has had one dose of Nutrafin. I have 1 w per gall. PH is around 8, temp 25.5. Am I being too impatient or do you think there is a problem?

it should show signs or bits of green growing by now IMO if everything is right. temp is nice 25, im thinking if it aint the light its the ferts :) you could try placing half of the moss in a tub of water outside under a shade where it would get some direct sunlight but not enough to cook the moss :) add a few drops of ferts and see if it grows

but im thinking more on the ferts because java moss does not need high light levels to survive and even grow a bit

Thanks - Should I try a different fert if there is no improvement soon? Any recommendations welcomed.

i see no problem with that as long as you read the instructions properly and know what you are doing :) the brand is not really all that important, its the ingredients that matter :) but the problem is most of the time good brands have all the good ingredients in them too ;)
