Hi Everyone,

I am having a few problems with some of my cardinals and am looking for some expert advice. I am concerned my fish may have neon tetra disease but as I have never seen it before I am not convinced.

Fish 1,

At first I noticed he had a red lump on his underside and his gills were a bit inflammed, I though he had been injuered so didnt think anymore. but he also went pale looked a little fatter and his scales seemed to be a bit flakey. The flakeyness is gone but he is still pale with the red lump on his underside.

Fish 2,

I noticed today this patch of flakey scales, otherwise he seems fine.

Fish 3,

he has a weird round growth in his mouth opening!

any help would be really appreciated. I am really worried about it being tetra disease but dont want to euthanise my fish without knowing for sure!

Water stats (unfortunately I have lost the colour chart for my proper test kit) these are from the dipsticks.

Nitrites 0
Ammonia 0
nitrates 10
Ph 7.2

My tank is well established over a year
last new fish added about 3 weeks ago, 5 danios all looking well. Some swordtails one died the day after I bought it, well it dissapeared.

Could it be columnaris?

thanks Becky
