Big problem, i have lost 6 blue rams and a clown loach in the past 5 days, it has been really hot here of late getting up to 38 degrees C so tank had been about 30 its self and about 28 during the night, I have been testing my levels and they are in the ok part of my tester, Wat are the correct levels for everything? i keep my ph about 6.8 and i do a water change every weekend end, im stunned

anyone else got any other ideas

Those temps aren't high enough to kill fish.

Levels.....nitrite should be 0, ammonia should be 0, nitrate as low as possible but not 0 (this would mean your tank hasn't cycled)....what else did you test for?

Something in your water supply? Fish bought with illness?

I wish I could help more...

Sorry about your losses, Aussie_Star.

You definitely need to keep nitrites below 1, preferrably below .5... especially if you're keeping sensitive fish species. Some fish just don't handle cycling well and shouldn't be subjected to any ammonia and nitrites. Blue rams and clown loaches definitely fall into this category.

One other thing to consider... Old test kits can give inaccurate results. You might as well get a new master test kit since you save so much vs. individual tests.

HTH!
