Problem With New Bought Guppy

Ok as you know I recently bought a new female and male guppy Saturday and well the female had babies when I let here loose well now she is developing white splothes on her tail and her poop is white. And the three guppies only swim at the top of the water and not any wheres else. What's up with both of these things??

First, that sounds a lot like a parasite, I would treat it fast, sounds like ich. Anyways, the fry probably swam to the top because that is where they feel the safetest.

No the adult guppies only swim at the top. How do I treat it, medications. I don't have an isolaion tank and may not be able to get any medications for a few days. What can I do?

Okay, that is where they feel the safetest, it is a common habit in guppies, my feeders ONLY swim at the top, but then again I would too. As for medication then

Ya i guess they are afraid of the angels since they are large but if I can't get any medication should I kill her so nobody else gets it

Killing her won't change anything, if it's in the water, it's in the water.

Before we jump to the conclusion it's ich, we need more information. What do these "splotches" look like? Grains of salt? Fluffy areas? Describe them more. What are your water stats (Actual ones, not just "they're fine)? What fish do you have? What size tank? Have you done anything different with them over the past few days? Do they appear to be gasping?

For now, until you're sure of the problem, I'd do a 25% water change. It can't hurt.

I don't have a tester kit .... yet, tank and fish are in sig it's the 29 gallon. It's not ich I know that right now the best I can say is that it's a small white spot bigger than what ich would be right before the tail and a few more smaller ones on her tail. It's white, just white, that part of her skin has become white that's it. She still swims with the other guppies sometimes, doesnt gasp for air. I just got her Saturday afternoon from a LFS and she had babies so maybe the stress of moving then haveing babies is producing this I don't know but she has only been in the tank a little over two days. It took her about 12hours to have all the babies.

You need to get a test kit.

Anyway, for the patches...are they fluffy at all? Does it look infected? When you say it's white...did she rub her scales off, or something similar? I can't get an idea of what this is, sorry. Any chance of a picture? And have you tried posting in Emergencies?

Ya posted in emergencies, I realized it should be there so I moved it but sorry no pics my dad hasn't bought a digital camera yet and yes I am trying to get a test kit but with tax and everything a good one by me would come to a total of 35$ and I don't have that much right now. By the end of April hopefully sooner I will have one but my mom bought me meds today called Maracyn by Mardel. It's basically a white spot between the colored tail and where the body starts. Sorry I can't explain it well but would it hurt to use this medication and Nox-ich in case there is ich too or would that be bad.

I guess I don't have good luck with guppies

It's generally not a good idea to mix medicines. Try doing daily water changes and add some salt. Until you can get it diagnosed, I wouldn't treat for anything. There's no sense in subjecting the fish to a treating they don't need. Try looking around online and diagnosing it. This is a good site, as is this one.

Ok I will do as many water changes as possible but with track and jazz band right this week I am very busy. Only reason I am on here is that I do my homework and take a break to do this. Ok I will try but the ghost shrimp can't take the salt though right. Could I move them in with the baby guppies or should I just let them die since they are cheap.

Um...no you shouldn't let them die, even if they are cheap. No animal deserves that. They may eat baby Guppies, so it's hard to say. The oto in your tank probably won't appreciate salt either, so you'd probably be best without it.
