Hi all.
I ha e quite a strange problem at the moment with my cycle as everyone knows a normal cycle goes ammonia to nitrite to nitrate am I correct?
Well mine had a ammonia reading glasses of 8ppm
nitrite of 3.3 to 33mgl I do think have a nitrate kit.
Well after a days the fish sadly died.
Three weeks later (today) no fish in tank the nitrite is at 0 but the ammonia is at 1-2 ppm? What has caused the nitrite to disappear but the ammonia to be still there the nitrite has been at 0 for about a week now but ammonia is still readable?
I hope someone can shed some light on my problem
tank perameters
fluval edge 21l
temp 25c
pH 8
gh and kh both at 1
heavily planted with real plants
no snails I killed them all with gastroplex the other day.
