well i should be receiving my new pressurized co2 soon, but now im wondering if i need to shut it off at night...i have 2 hagen co2 systems running 24/7 now with no problems so i figured it would be the same with pressurized. im at 25 to 30ppm now most of the time it just doesnt stay consistent because of mixture changes hence the pressurized set-up/.
so is it okay to keep it on 24/7 or is preference and keep an eye on the fish to see if i need it off at night. thanks

you should be fine 24/7 but bearing in mind the night time co2 is totally wasted. your co2 tank will last twice as long if you shut it off at night!!

it all costs money at the end of the day.

however i dont use it myself (still diy over here) so cant really advise from experience.

santa has my list though!!! fingers crossed

I run pressurized, and I leave it on all night. It takes me a while to get it running to the right pressure, so I don't want to fiddle with it. If I had a solnoid, then it would automatically shut off when the ph changes, but they are quite expensive.

what i seen you were purchasing a regulator with a solenoid valve....if you have a timer on your day lights
just hook it up to the timer and you will have it come on and off with your lights which is what you want
if not Ph controled ,as said waste of co2 at night

okay thanks for all the info..canoechiq has a point.im trying to keep as constant as possible and if starting and stopping will or might create a fluctuation i will probably go 24/7..but the timer is something to consider.thanks wiggler 1
now 1 more question for the day(right) i know some are using EI as i will do much more seriously when i get my pressurized but before i left for a while i was trying to find out the best way to store my chemicals and right now its outside and its pretty cold in the garage at night, so is there a right way to store it? thanks
