Hi, I am looking to buy a CO2 kit for my 300 liter tank. Due to the size, I belive pressurised to be the only methord of stable CO2 injection. Please could someone recomend a good kit for a first time pressurised kit buyer please.

Any help is greatly recived.

Would you consider DIY pressurized ?... cheaper by far..

Andy

Hum, may do that, once the gas in my new system runs out......Bought it without looking into the replacement cartriges  not realising that they were specific to that manufacturer

Thanks for the tip

What make kit do you have at the moment?

There is a link in my sig to a DIY kit that uses fire extinguishers, probably the cheapest way of doing it.

I've got the Hydor NRG exclusive, and the cartriges are going to last arround a forgtnight on my current setting (30ppm, rather than instruction recomended 15ppm) costing £10 each on ebay!!!!!

Will definately be changing to DIY fire extinguishers after Xmas, once the gas for my current system has run out, and have the cash to purchase the necisary parts.

Thanks again Sam :hyper:

Glad to hear it, sorry to say it after the horse has bolted, but (as you are probably now very aware!) those NRG kits are rubbish and hugely expensive!

You'll be pleased with an FE kit, I promise ;)

what else is needed ?? colin

bottle, non return valve, needle valve, regulator, solenoid if your going to turn co2 off at night, diffuser (get a pair), bubble counter and drop checker.
all glassware is best purchased off ebay, aquaticmagic is the best in my opinion although there are others out there.
what size is the tank? don't trust the rhinox size guides you can get away with the size down for example rhinox 1000 is recommended for up to 20 gallons but can easily do 30.
