Do I need to do anything to prepare it other than cutting off the skin and into pieces? It's organically grown if that helps at all. I read somewhere you can feed it raw, but wouldn't it be hard to my pleco to eat it uncooked?

It will be fine raw, If you want you can put it in boiling water for a minute and it will soften the outer layer then leave to cool for 1/2 an hour stick a fork in it and drop in the tank.

How big of a piece usually? Long and skinny or short and fat? I've never used sweet potato so I'm wondering what will be easiest for my pleco to eat on.

I normally use a bit about the size of a coke bottle lid.
