Hello all,

I'm a newb to this forum - so with introductories aside, this forum looks the goods!

I've bred Labidochromis Caerleus once before, and recently it looks as if my female is holding once again.

(That is - She is off her food, enhanced territiorial/aggressive behaviour and swollen 'lower jaw')

However, just tonight she attempted to indulge in a fragment of an algae disc i'd popped in the tank. After spitting a mouthful of the disc out - five ebony coloured 'egg-like' objects also were expelled from her mouth.

I've taken a few photos, but i'm unsure as to how to display them in the post...

Can anyone with any experience with the yellows and/or breeding yellows confirm that these may have been undeveloped fry?

Any input would be invaluable...

Cheers, and once again hello to all.

It's not something I've seen before but it sounds like she may well have gotten overenthusiastic about eating and forgot she was incubating. To post images you need to have them on the web somewhere, then you just link to it with the img button.

Its possible these eggs were no good, Or she just sacrificed them to make room for food, I would imagine those eggs are gonners now, The others i imagine shes still holding should go full term and be fine.
