That's a "Piece of String" question. All I can say is that poecilid livebearers have a gestation period of 4-6 weeks. However, your sailfin may be right at the end of that period, she may be right at the start. Unfortunately, I am not psychic. :good:

Just one warning, though, if I may. Sailfin mollies are pretty big for livebearers. Breeding traps tend to be quite small. It may be that the confined space of the trap is very stressful for a relatively large fish, and this may cause problems.

I'm not sure if you're allowed to post pics directly to the site with your low post count. (A mod could maybe advise?)

Try uploading to FlickR or Photobucket, or similar, and then paste the IMG code into a reply.

DIfficult to tell, from the angle of the photographs (not a criticism, taking fish photos is a nightmare!), but I'd say around a week to go. One of the photos makes her look quite square at the rear of the belly, but less so at the front. WHen the corners of her belly go very square, then she's very close.

Let me give an assist on the picture. I went to photobucket, copied the IMG code and pasted it in here on TFF as if it was text.

She looks like she is about 2 weeks away from a drop to me.
