Pregnant Platy Or Fat Platy?

Hi all just a bit of advise please guys.

I have 5 Platies all together, three of which we have had since fry and two "Micky Mouse" platies that we introduced about two weeks ago, and I think that one of our original fry (now adult)is preganant. These fry where from a platy that died one morning last year and as I was cleaning the tank I noticed these three little guys.

I think (educated guess) that we only have one male and we have four females. (both mickey mouse are females) and I think that the other original female may also be pregnant but she is not quite as big as the other.

I have taken a video as I can't get a still enough picture.

So just asking for thoughts or advice on weather she is pregnant of fat.

Hi Paul. Sorry that you have not yet had a reply,
Your platy does look pretty far on pregnant, I would say around the 3 week area maybe a little more, expect fry within the week.

Thank you for your reply I will keep a a close eye on her and I have readied a the old 8L tank to house the fry.
I'll let you know how she gets on.

You have at least one female ready to go soon. If you have a nice small tank, set it up and get the filter running on it, then move the female into it. That will let her settle in before her time comes. If she is kept well fed, you can just wait and net her out after she is done dropping her fry.

Still no joy and she looks to have gone a little smaller but I will set up my small tank and get her settled in. Thanks for the advice.
