Pregnant Neon Tetra

I have kept fish for quite a few years but have never had a pregnant fish in my tank. One of the neon tetra's is, I think, pregnant. Her tummy is HUGE. She does not seem distressed at all and is eating and swimming normally. She is so large it looks as if she will just burst open.
I took a photo to a local garden centre that has a large fish department and the man I saw was amazed at how big she is but said she did look pregnant not swim bladder or anything else he knew could cause her to be so large.

Does anyone have experience of pregnant tetras to confirm whether or not this is normal.

thanks for your reply. Do you have any idea how long this will last for. She has been like this since last weekend. It might have been longer but that was when i first noticed the change in her.

Ian I do have a couple of pics - they are not very good - she would either turn away or another fish swim in front of her. Also I am not sure how to put a picture on this site. I can download onto the laptop and I have a kodak site and I might be able to put it on their and then give a link but I am not sure.

It seemed about a week but that might just be consecutive females being pregnant! Normally they all seemed to be back to normal size after a water change, like most SA fish IMO this triggers egg laying.

thank you for the picture. yes she looks like that but possibly larger. I am just putting the photos onto the laptop now and so will see if there is anything worthwhile me trying to show you.
