Pregnant Molly Help

My silver molly is pregnant, as soon as the dark triangle area around her anus became darker I was told to put her in the breeder trap. The molly has a few weeks left of until her due date I think, she isn't huge & square just yet
She has been in there for the last 4days, she seems happy & not stressed - However today I read that pregnant mollies aren't suppose to be in there longer than 48hours so I let her out for her health & to ensure you wouldn't get stressed. But now she's out in the community tank again, she seems very stressed because of one of the males is trying to CONSTANTLY breed with her when she's quite clearly already preggers. What do I do ?

Nothing you can do, except separate them again, I'm afraid. What male to female ratio do you have?

On the plus side, the fact that the male's harassing her so much probably means she's very close to dropping.

Okay thankyou, I think I have 3 males and three females - I'm not too sure how you tell the difference ?

I'll take a photo of the female molly I was talking about and the female who is huge now (not sure if she's pregnant now too)

Livebearers are easy to sex. Look at the anal fin (that's the one on the bottom of the fish, right in front of the tail). In males it's a rod like structure called a gonopodium that the fish uses like a penis, whereas females have a normal, fan shaped anal fin.

Most livebearer females are pregnant all the time; they can store sperm also, for around six months, so they can get pregnant even if there are no males around!

The best ratio is one male to every two or three females; that way they all get a rest from the male's attentions sometimes.
