Pregnant Molly? :d

This is my first time owning mollies, I got this one as a gift She doesn't look very fat, but then again I don't know what the standard is for mollies. She does seem pretty squared off though. Anyone know if she's pregnant? Sorry for the pic being so dark, but you can still make out her shape.

She does look to be well along but not due tomorrow or anything. I have a series of pictures every few days and she looks between this one.

That would put her about 3 weeks away by my best guess.

So im kind of worried about her now. She just sits on the bottom of the tank near a plant. She is interested in food and does eat but otherwise just sits there. Is she sick?

No my mollies do that too. My lfs guy told me the like to "nest" for their babies. It isn't really true because they eventually eat all their babies.... I susppect they just like their space and peace before the babies come.

I don't know what you are talking about HCPetraitis. That molly picture a few lines up is a female who has been with those fry since the day she gave birth to them. I finally separated the female from the fry after she gave birth to a second drop of fry and the tank was just getting too crowded to hold them all. The female went back to her mate, the fry went to a 55 gallon to grow out and a few of the older fry, 7 of the ones in the picture, went to a club auction yesterday and brought enough of a price to pay for all of my fish food for a month.
