Pregnant Guppy....

My guppy has looked like this for well over a week now, she has taken over 1 corner of the tank, chases anything away that comes near her, the boys are all over her...but still no fry???

Anyone have any clue if she will every have her babies?

She's definitely pregnant so will give birth at some point. She doesn't look particularly squared off to me though. Probably a few more days yet.

She had her fry tonight managed to catch 19 of them and they are in the net, mum is looking well and luckily she seemed to time it with feeding time so the other fish were distracted with food. So just for anyone who like me is useless with guessing, in the above pics she was 2 days from giving birth.

Yay for babies! I have found I can only begin to predict once I had watched each female go through it first... the next time I remember what they looked like and that seems to be an easier predicter (that and I write down dates!)

Dates are only good if your guppies stick to them, I have 9week old fry and their mum is only just getting big now. We did have an ich outbreak though so quite sure that messed things up a little.
