most will have a blck gravid spot and chance of her being pregnant is very very high...

There's a big chance that she's pregnant. One time, I saw a male guppy that had jumped into a female tank at the pet store! Most have a dark gravid spot, others' don't show without the proper lighting due to their coloring. Being near the top is normal, as well. Guppies, platies, swordtails, and mollies are all surface-dwellers. You can tell by their upturned mouths. Hope this helps! :good:

Welcome back Shelaugh, I haven't seen you in my section in quite a while.
Fishkeeper694, have you read through the posts we have on determining a fish's state and determining if a drop is imminent? You can reach the first one using a link in my signature called My Molly's Progress. It shows, in pictures, the entire cycle from one drop to the next, along with commentary. I will say it right now, a guppy should be treated as identical to a molly for that story. I never get it right if I try to judge a guppy using the gravid spot colors but I always win when I use the shapes that are discussed in that thread.

thanks so much guys xxx i really appreciate your help :) x i love my fish so much xx
