Pregnant Guppy How Far Away Is She From Dropping Her Fry

I have a pregnant guppy and I don't know how long it will be until she drops her fry. She is become very unsocial and is hanging around the heater and filter. She also has a large,dark gravid spot and is squared off. How long till she drops her fry?


I need help urgently

Once they've squared off, they usually give birth in the next 24 hours, although they can hang on to the fry for a while, if they feel stressed.

She seems happy but I can't put her into the breeder trap because I already have got 2 babies in there

You could make sure your tank has lots of plants and let her have the babies in the tank. I sometimes do that if I feel the female will be too stressed in a breeder. Then I take my trusty turkey baster (for tank use only) and suck the babies up as I see them and put them in the breeder... Less stress on everyone and I don't have to deal with trying to net the darn things.
