Pregnant Guppy Help?!

Hi,
I currently have 2 pregnant guppies but i have no idea when they are going to drop... so im just waiting!!
Unfortunatly the nitrate levels are through the roof, which i am trying to sort out. Will these high nitrate levels stop the guppies giving birth or am i still going to have to carry on waiting?

It is easy to sort out high nitrates. Do a huge water change and they will be down closer to tap water values. Nitrates are never removed using filters and the like.
High nitrates will not affect a drop happening but, if they are high enough, it could cause fish health problems.
