I bought 8 balloon mollys about 2 weeks ago and was told they were all pregnant. There were about 300 babies at the bottom of the tank so i believed them. About 4 of them are much thinner now but i have them in my 100G tank so i'm pretty sure the angels, rainbows or danio's got the babies, i dunno i could be surprised someday, there are some pretty good hidey spots.

Anyway this girly is HUGE, has been since i hot her but maybe bigger. I now have her in her own 1G filtered maternity ward, anxiously awaiting the new arrivals...or not. Here's her pic

What do you guys think...preggers or not and if so...how long are they pregnant?

She does look pregnant but a 1gal tank will be too small as a fry tank...Are you just using it to put her in temporarily and/or raise the fry in?

absolutley...it's just temporary. If i left her in the 100G i'd never see the fry...at least i can contain them in the 1G and possible even witness the birth. I'll raise the fry in a filtered rubbermaid container, they'll be moved into the 100G as soon as they're big enough. It will be easier rounding them up too in a 1G!

Thanks, i'm new to the world of livebearer fish
