Pregenant Molly

Hi, ive got 3 pregenant white mollies gonna try and see if i can get some pics soon!!

ive got them in my 18L, Breeding trap with divider so 2 in der & one the least pregenant of them is swimming around below them

so how many fry will i get on average?

i bought them at my lfs pregenant!

anymore advice plz let me know!!

An average drop for a mature molly is between 30 and 40 fish. That would mean around 100 to 120 fry if the space was big enough. If you put that many fry into a tiny space like a 18 litre tank, you are likely to lose most of the fry. I use a 10 gallon, 38 litres, tank for a single molly to drop her fry. She fills the tank with a single drop but can be kept with the fry if she is well fed and there is any cover at all. The last time tat I did that, the female dropped again at about 6 weeks and I was forced to move all but the mature female to a larger tank. The little 10 gallon was just too small for the fry to thrive so they ended up in a 55 gallon grow out tank instead.
