I just fed her and while watching her she was spitting out her food, some she did eat but majority she grabbed spit back out grabbed and spit back out. Is she going to be dropping? She keeps still once in a while but has been darting around when ever she sees me. Like she is more afraid or something. What to do?

EDIT: Right now she is picking the food that fell to the bottom of the tank, and continously spitting it out. But no still movement.

Keep an eye on your guppy. She may well be approaching her next drop with actions like that.

She didn't drop last night. But I have noticed her swimming to the corners of the tank and staying their for up to half an hour. Or she will go into or under areas where you cant see her at all. I post a photo in my other thread of her gravid spot, and wasn't sure if it looks like the "white spot" is showing up where it looks like it is opening up?

So I just need someone to check out a photo of her early today, she has shown NO interest in food what so ever just spit it out once and then decided not to eat all together. Its early and she is supposed to be more active i woke up to find her hidden behind the filter, she is swimming very very slowly not even swimming around the tank as usual. I just need someone to take a look at the photo and tell me if it does look like she is going to drop, because I was told she has to look "squared off".

She was so still i could actually take pictures this time.

Any help please? She wont move away from the filter its been about 2 hours.

Jefflover, please give us a link to your female. We have no way to judge the state of your female without a rather clear picture. Since you have several other threads right now, a reference to "my other thread" is also not very helpful.

Im sorry if I was rather not much help, its very difficult to take great pictures with what camera i have, i have to borrow my moms when she is available. When I posted, I wasn't referring to my first post I was referring to...

But I have taken new pictures now that are much clearer! Sorry for the inconvenience, im new to forums :/

This was the best picture I could get, its better then my first though.

But, I will continue trying (right now) to get any better photos.

The latest pic looks like she's starting to square up nicely. I wouldn't think it would be more than a day or two before she drops.

Newest photo I just took, had to take it in the dark because she keeps hiding behind the filter when the tank light is on.

Thanks! I was thinking the same, she hasn't moved at all today away from the filter though. Neither will she eat. But it has been about 6 hours now.

What kind of a setup is she in? It appears as if she's alone. Did you move her to a different tank recently? From your descriptions it sounds like she's a bit stressed. If she gets too stressed she might not drop at all. Let us know what the conditions are, please! Thanks.

She is in a 5 gallon tank, she has been by herself for maybe a week and a half now. She has been acting completely fine the whole time up until today with not moving about and not eating. Should I be transferring her to the large tank?

No, I just thought if you just moved her in the last day or so you might have stressed her out. But she's probably just very close to dropping.

Make sure when she starts dropping fry to feed her a bit of food. She'll be really hungry and won't hesitate to eat her fry. Do you have any plants for cover once the fry start arriving?

Oh ok, yea haven't moved her at all just did a 25% water change yesterday nothing stressful at all.

Should I be expecting fry today or tomorrow? I will, I constantly check up on her. And yes I have three plants total in her tank, along with that I have two deco's filled with small holes for the fry to go in and out but not big enough for the mother. She has yet to move from the filter, is this normal behavior before dropping?

So Im sort of worried on whether this is normal behavior or not, because she has not eaten at all today throughout all the feedings (just eats and spits it back out). And still being quite still in the tank. I also just added a new heater last night. That wouldn't be the reason why her behavior has changed is it? The temp is currently, and has been the entire night 78-80 degrees.
