hi.

The area i live in is facing a power outage since 5 A.M.
I have 3 tanks around the house and i am worried about my fish.
My question is how long can the bacteria last with the filters off?
And how long will the fish be able to hold on?
The power company has no ideia when they will be able to restore power.

They will be OK for several hours for sure, If you're worried you can do a water change to make sure the water is fresh.

In regards to your filters, I'm not sure but it may be worth putting your media in a bucket of old (pre water change) tank water to give your bacteria something to feed on. But like I said it should be find for a while. Just think about how long it takes when people post filter media to each other.

I use one of these connected to a car battery: Inverter

It won't run your heater but it will keep your filter running for hours (if not days) on a car battery. I used a 7Ah hobby battery when my power was scheduled to go off for five hours, I tested it beforehand and gave up after nine hours as it was still running.

It's a great backup.

Of course it's no good to you for this power cut but for future use...
