Powder Blue Gourami Question

Can these fish have another of its kind in the tank with it? The one I got yesterday sure looks lonesome in that big tank all alone

Anyone with experience with this, if you would share with me, I would so appreciate it . The info I am finding online is rather confusing. Some say yes, they do well together. Others no, they do better on their own.

Depends, if it's two females, yes. But usually males will show aggression towards eachother in a smaller tank, how big is the tank?

The Powder Blue Gourami is a colour variant of the Dwarf Gourami, same species (Trichogaster lalius) so same behaviours, etc. They are best either alone, or in a male/female pair. More here with details:
