Posts Going Missing

as in the title i find that certain posts are goin missing reply to them and go back and not there anybody havin this trouble

tried at access it via a member and this came up

I just came in here to ask the same thing.

The thread i started last Friday called 'Own Up' has vanished off the face of the earth. I wonder if the Mods have deleted it?

You could be correct, but i think it would just be moved to one of the 'non-fish' areas of the forum?

Bear in mind that this forum costs money to run. Somehat part of that cost is hard-disk space that would otherwise be taken up by advertitising, site plugging, arguments, inane off topic stuff, etc. if the threads were not editied somewhat.

A karate forum I used to frequent had a pay scheme for anyone who felt obligated to contribute. In return for payment there were additional facilities. This forum has almost exactly the same lay out, I suspect it is the same provider. Could you not set something up like that? Then the strain would be taken off whichever moderator/s is footing the bill now.
I find this forum very helpful. I would say that half of my fishkeeping knowledge I have I gained in the couple of months on here. So I for one would pay some. I feel certain that a number of other users would add to that too?

Surely the sponsors will cover the cost in return for advertising?

It wouldn't make any economic sense for the forum to run at a loss, or to have it reliant on the support of the mods.

why not have a off topic chat section as it gives people a chance to talk to each other of various things in life rather than fish all the time i know its a fish forum but some people have friends they wish to talk to on here
