Hello, I am wondering if someone can help me here. I think my molly might be pregnant, and I have taken a few pictures so that you can help me. Sorry they aren't the best, she won't stay still.

She (I believe it is a female) has become very defensive when I have been doing my daily checks on the tank. So if anyone could help I would be very grateful.

If you require any other information on this, let me know so that I can help to see if she is pregnant, I really hope she is.

Well the molly you show in your pictures does appear to be female, and pregnant. About 2-3 weeks through a 4 week pregnancy I'd say. My Mollies all stay pretty streamline through their entire pregnancy until the day before, when they square off, yours appears to be one of those mollies that will swell up like a balloon.
When she squares off (Her her tummy will look like a square) She is within 12-24 hours of dropping, don't put her in a breeder trap until then :)

i was wondering if anyone could tell me whether my molly fish is pregnant i have noticed recently in the past week or so that she has become very big and a black spot has appeared hovering around, ive heard this can be called a gravid spot. Any help would be great i will try and upload a picture of her(if it is infct a she). Thanks
