Hi,

One of my Glowlight tetras appears to have Ich, should i move him into my quarantine tank for treatment or should i treat the entire tank he's in? And also is it best to buy medication from the LFS or is it better to use Salt as i've read elsewhere?

200 Litre Tank, I perform water changes 25% weekly and 40% once a month.

Ammonia : 0
Nitrite : 0
Nitrate : <5ppm

Tank temp is 27c currently (because of the current UK heatwave), although the heater is only set to 23c

Thanks in advance

Seems like this may be a false alarm, the white bit has disappeared from the fish and none of the others seem to have any sign of it. Maybe just a floating piece of matter stuck on him...

i wish it were a false alarm for me... i have ich. :(

i mean my fish. not me. :p

when dealing with ich i have always had great results with "kordons rid ich" . temp raise and salt will usually work, however with more stubborn cases i have used the kordons

if your talking about aquarium salt then i've got to get more.
