Hey Guys

really hoping you can help i've had my fish tank for just under a year with 6 fish all happy, the last few weeks one of my fish seamed to show signs of swim bladder issue, but then today after adding a swim bladder treatment he has swolen up like a baloon, i think its dropsy but this is my 1st ever fish tank and im not 100% sure, i've been advised to do a bit of a water change clean the tank where i can and do a filter change but i wasnt sure if this was the correct course of aciton!

The fish seams to be really livley for about 10mins then just stops a few times i thought he had gone to fish heaven but then he seams to spark back!

I've included 2 photos that i've managed to capture

I've seen him inflate over the course of the day and every site i've read up on the outcome isnt good ! so thats why i thought id ask,

If i can save the poor guy id like to

Major thank you in advance for any replys

hi dropsy is usually fatal. An epson salt bath will help but usually when they balloon its too late for them. i would also do quite a big water change 40+% would be best. also dont get new filter media just clean your existing media in tank water to help keep the beneficial bacterial alive to keep you water quality good.
Hope this helps
Lloyd
