Posers Constant Flared Normal?

Are costlier bettas constantly falred like these beauties and in photos or only when agitated?

Bettas have different personalities so dependant on their aggressiveness is dependant on how they display. Some are just naturely fiercesome and others are sweet and demure in nature. I have three males. My first Calcifer is definately the fiery of the 3, he flares the most at colours he does not like but even when not flaring poses and splays his fins (just because he wants to). Reno is the snake of the three and havent seen him flare once, he is the bubble builder and general is off at high speeds round the tank with his super energy so dont see his full finnage often. Rude is a grumpit and flares at divide often but again likes to splay his finnage.

The video above they have something exciting him though he may be a hyper one anyways.

Yeah, like I just purchased a new betta today (Will post new topic with pics) named him Randy, and he always flares. My last betta never flared unless I gave him a mirror, but Randy, he flares whenever you come near his tank. So basically it's just their personality or if they see another male betta =)

Contacted a Thai breeder for a couple of bettas, awaiting selection instructions, I will go for half moons.

what size tanks have you got - dont forget the filter and heater
