yes and no,

LFS will often use the common term 'black acara' when selling port acaras although there is another related species known as the Black Port Acara

Port Acara - Cichlasoma/Aequidens portalegrensis (which ever is used nowadays)
Black Port Acara - Cichlasoma bimaculatum
