Well my porkie fat boy pine puffer shed his mucles today after he broke my glass hydo while doing a daily check .. he puffed then shed i quickly bunged him into a 200 ltr tank that im cycling problem is at the minate the NH3 is 0 nirite is 1.3mg and nirate is 0.3mg so its only just starting to cycle can any one confirm weather or not the puffer will be ok in this water condation he seems to be more then happy in there infact more so then his 500 ltr home.

any one got any views ?

that being said, i wouldn't keep him in th cycling tank, puffers don't have scales and will really have problems defending against the changes...or so i think Otherwise everyone would cycle their tanks with puffers rather than the hardy damsels (which is still wrong to do IMHO)

He's back in his 450 ltr tank again now it was only temp where i refilled his lrg tank with new RO water and mixed it.

i bought a 6 stage RO unit next day delivery so i could fill it twice as fast lol worked like a charm...



he seemed really happy in the 200ltr for some reason!ive read there really quite hardy fish just prone to marine ich more then other fish!
