Porcupine Puffer Question

I have an Atlantic Porcupine fish and recently she has starting puffing up to a good size prickly ball. Had it for about a year, and she is now appox. 5 inch long.
I thought puffers would swell up only if threatened. Seems she is doing this everyday now, and at the same time, between 6 and 8p.m.

Question: Is this normal? Suggestions on these fish. Water quality is good, in a 55G tank with a few damsels and starfish. Plenty of rock for hiding, and she eats fine.

this is not normal. someone who came into our shop the other week said that his puffed up every time the phone went off . he had to take it back to the shop in the end because it was gettingb stressed. you dont have radio/t.v on at this time do you? the aquarium lights /pumps dont turn on/off around this time do they?
