I found on of my black mollies this morning has one eye that has poped up i asume that it is popeye was just woundering if it is safe to keep it in the tank with the other fish?
does this thing sread?
and what should i use for it

please help

what are the water parameters of your current tank? PopEye is a bacterial condition which can be caused by poor water quality.

I would isolate the fish to a hospital tank if you have one, in order to make it easier to treat,

yes, below is a section of the suggested consult form taken from the emergency forum. try to answer as much as you can although the most critical are ammonia, nitrite and nitrate:

Tank size:
pH:
ammonia:
nitrite:
nitrate:
kH:
gH:
tank temp:

This will help us, although I would do a precautionary 30%water change ASAP and then treat the molly with an anti-bacterial treatment
