Pop Quiz!

I got 80% B)

I got the flying fish one wrong and the angel fish scientific name wrong.

yipee :D

I got 80%.........not bad for a newbie
I got Q7 and 8 wrong..........name of the bacteria and latin name for the angel

90%, Q9 was a bit misleading... New tank syndrome is more like the effects on the fish when the tank is cycling, not the period. The period is called the cycle...

Well, perhaps there should be a TFF one that test members to see if they have read the pinned topics ;)

Newly registered members should take the test, then take it again a bit later to see if they have learnt anything :D You have to get 90% or more before you are allowed to set up a tank :p

Cant see it catching on though... ho hum bah humbug :santa:

Squid

Apears my time on the internet isn't completly useless. . .

90%

I didn't get number 8.

Hardley far you want everyone to share results but you don't post your own :)

Come on! How did you do???
Alright I missed 3,6,7,8, and 9 :*) Dang I suck. I bet Tolak would get that angelfish question right.

I missed 7, because I don't know much about bacteria, just that there is good and bad bacteria, and 9 because I start new tanks by adding substrate from a mature tank. I've never had to actually ha to wait for bacteria to grow in a tank :p

What are the actual bacteria responsible for nitrification in closed aquatic systems??
A. Nitrosomonas europaea and Nitrobacter wynogradskyii
B. E. coli and Nitrospumatus
C. Nitrosomonas, Nitrosospira and Nitrospira
D. none of the above

I really did think it was Nitrobacter that was responsible, I didn't guess it, I'm sure I read it.

Otherwise 90%
