Pop-eye

Steve the Betta has pop eye - I was most upset when I noticed it this morning, he was fine when I fed him last night.

My water parameters were normal (I only test ammonia & nitirite - both were at 0) but I still did a 30% water change just in case.

I also added some stuff called Myxazin by a company called Waterlife. It claims to "lower the count of harmful bacteria in aquaria water, treating fin rot, body rot, ulcers and other bacterial diseases. It will also control pop-eye disease, cloudy eyes and mouth fungus".

Any additional things I can do?

Possibly a pinch of salt. Keep doing partials for the next few days and it should clear right up.

unfortunately I can't add salt as I have cories & plecos in with him (plus the only place that sells fish salt is a 2 mile drive away into the back end of beyond )
