This morning I have noticed 1 of my male guppys is sitting at the bottom of the tank and, which looks like, heavy breathing.
I've just fed them and he's not interested.
I done a test last night and results were:
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate between 40-80
Was gonna do a water change tonight (as have work today)
He was fine last night
Bought 6 new fish on Sunday...3x balloon molly's (2x female, 1 male) and 3x platys (male).
Since Sunday the male swordtail has been hassling all the fish. He started to single out the balloon molly's (but all of them are getting grief), then last night I noticed him on the case of the new platy's.
I then read that you shouldn't mix swordtails and platy's because of aggression and interbreeding.
Am planning to take the platy's back to LFS tomorrow for exchange.
Do you think the guppy has been injured by the swordtail?
I can't see any damage to him, but not really sure what to look for re disease or injury.
Please help/advise
