It depends on the fish immune system. Some fish are more able to fight desease off.
If a fish has a weak immune system it will come down with desease.

Make sure the fish that you are adding back to main tank has been clear for over a week.

Well, the poor guy held out and held out. Started to get better but then the other gourami in the hospital tank with him started nipping his fins so i had to seperate. His fins grew back and he was starting to get better, his fin still had some white clumps on it but it was clearing up. Then all of a sudden he just died. Went to work and he was fine, came back, dead Poor little fella, i dont think him jumping out of his tank for over 30 minutes while at the pet store helped him
