Poorly Fish!

Hiya i am treating for ich at the mo, bought 2 mollies from the pet shop & as they were dalmation didnt see it on them, i was told by my lfs to treat with king british half a dose every 48hrs no water changes & not to feed them, they dont seem to be gettin better & ive lost 2 fish now, i really want to do a water change but was told not to??

with king british ws3 add what your tank needs every 48 hrs for 3 doses. I did this a few years ago and it cured my fish -be patient

My 3rd dose was this am, i have noticed signs of fungus on a couple of my fish now & cant treat 2 things at once??
Do i really not need to clean the tank surely if it is a free swimming parasite it would make sense to do a water change?? Thank you x

You can add pimafix with parasite meds.

PimaFix can be used with pond salt and formalin-based anti-parasitic treatments

Have you raised temp and increased aeration in the tank.

Whitespot looks like the fish has been sprinkled in salt.

I did change 20% of my water in between doses-but i couldnt say if it helped as it cleared up-But maybe your ich is brought on by poor water conditions and maybe thats why the fish are suffering from another condition. Check your ammonia etc-(have you removed your carbon?-just checking!)

Oh i didnt know that, i have some in the cupboard so will add some, the lfs said not to increase temp as it stresses fish but i have my air stone on!!

Raise temp to 30 as long as there plenty of aeration in the tank the fish will be fine.

I have just added pimafix, i have the juwel 96 with internal filter, the heater control is just a stick which you turn how do i make sure i dont turn it too much, how long will it take to show on thermometer??

Thats difficult to say-so many factors alter how quick the water temperature will rise. Water volume-water flow past the heater-heater wattage,temperature of the room-just turn it a bit and see how you go.......

I hate them old juwel heater as they have no temp marking on the heater.
Check your juwel instructions leaftlet as you have to turn anti clockwise and clock wise for altering the temp.

If your tank turns into a steam bath-back it off a bit!!!!lol -I keep my juwel for a spare and bought a replacement heater!
