harliquins looks ace....all 12 are shoaling really well in the current of the filter, they love to dart up and down....great fish!

have 8 black neons in my other tank may swap them for the rainbows..but.dunno yet. Got 2 bolivan rams in there now 2. first time i have kept cichlids so was a bit of a breakthrough moment....


also another question about the dwarf rainbows, as you know i have three. I think one is a male, and the other two are female. I say this because the 'male' has striking red frill around his body where as the other two have a more orangy colour. however, 'he' seems to chase the other two around the tank, is this natural? is this a breeding ritual or is he being very agressive? should i perhaps in time add 3 more to make a shoal of 6? i researched them quite substanially and they said they were very passive and good community fish., this is correct but he seems to be a bit bullish towards the other 2 'females'.

Never kept rainbow fish so don't know much about them.
Post in the right part of the forum for the rainbows plenty of members willing to give you advice.
