Hi Peeps,

I have a pleco which is showing some signs of disease. This became apparent shortly after leaving the fish for two weeks when we went on holiday and left our family to look after them (badly).

Water chemistry is fine.

Water changes are done weekly.

I am a noobie.

His fin has developed a kind of raggedy and fiberous patch, almost like the tip of a wart (nice). He did have a reddish looking blister on it initially but that has gone. .

His behaviour is perfectly normal. His fins have a rusty edge but they have been like that since I bought him.

Any help and advice greatly appreciated. I will go to the LFS but it is Christmas and everyehere is shut.

(See attached picture - sorry about the quality)

Bump= tumor? You say it went away, though...

The whiteness makes me think of fungus.

Try the A-Z diseases pinned article in the emergencies section. i wonder if there are pictures in there...
