That tank looks tiny, judging by the sze of the plugs the oscar must be about 4-5" and the tank is about 20G or less. Like you said, poor fish. (Though it could be a growout tank but I think thats being too optamistic.

Though its not the worst I've seen, when I bought a second hand tank, turned out it still had fish in it (which the seller said she would have given to LFS). It was our second tank, and we were noobs at the time not knowing what the fish were. When we found out we had 2 convicts, a midas cichlid and LOTS of african cichlids. The tank was 3ft. Luckily we were able to rehome all of the fish through local papers.

Advert details says the Oscar is 10 inches and the tank is 20 x 15 (inches i assume). Hope someone is able to rehome it into a larger tank.
