Poor Midnight

they do stay with you, i still remember my first boy Blaze  a big red VT he started me off on bettas, i got so attached to him, then came another, then 4 females

So sorry to hear about Midnight, he was a beautiful lil guy :-(

thats ok hun but its true you get very attached. His set me on the road for wanting to get more. Will never forget him he was my lil man!!! lol my partner asked me how i could call him my lil man my answer was he dont cause me grief!! like a really man! LOL xx

You are SO right there!!!! You will never forget Midnight, but a new boy to love will help ease the pain you are feeling right now. I hate seeing bettas in those tiny boxes in pet shops. You are now in the position to offer a lovely new home to one of them :D

Dont worry i intend to i dont car what my other half says im having another one. I hate the cube like things they keep them in its so crule some told me to buy a nano tank i took one look and said jog on that aint a tank im not putting my littele men in something like that and walked off

Good for you! My smallest tank is 20 litres which I'm not keen on. It was sold as 25 litres. My single male doesn't seem to mind it though. I certainly wouldn't keep one in anything smaller.

i have one in an 11 liter he seems to love it was not to happy about it at first but he has lots of room and has a very small pleco in with him called tiney and a couple of rocks i would not have anything smaller. my partner looked at me in shock when i told the guy to jog on  i plan on get another betta he dont know it yet and he wont know when i have done it till he gets home from work one day

I know that small areas are quite natural for them, it's just me :0) If the fish seems happy enough then that's what counts x Can't wait to see pics of your new boy when you pick one!

Wow I missed a lot in the past 2 days lol (sorry power went out due to bad storm, never had a chance to get back on) I'd love to see the one you get :) I'm thinking about getting one myself maybe.. I'm trying to figure out how well they would get along with guppies. I have two 10 gallon tanks one for guppy fry and the other with 7 guppies so most likly id put him in the fry tank..

I really have to think about it before deciding :\ I would put him in my 60 gallon but he would probably rip his fins on all the plants so I want to avoid that.. which leaves the goldfish tank and thats out of the question.

I use to have 10 now I have none.. ahhh I feel so lonly!

Im not sure how they get on with guppys i think someone told me they dont mix well not sure. I will have to get mine when the bf is not about  he wont let me have anymore as such. he dose have a few execptions though. I love my boys. :D

I posted a new topic about a week ago asking, since no one answered about 2 days I gave up. But then checked today! Turns out he may be ok with the guppy fry and he would probably only much on the deformed ones.. so he would be doing me a favor! I'm so happy but I'm scared to get another because if something went wrong right now I couldnt afford paying to get anything fixed.. All our food spoiled since the power was out for 2 days. Pretty tight on money. Maybe next month though.

How many do you have? You can never have to many, the more the better I say!

Is there a specific color betta your going for this time?
