hi
my poor guppy was attacked by my betta the other day, and now he barely has a tail. i had the betta 3 weeks until it did this i took it back to the pet shop yesterday and managed to exchange him for a couple more guppies. is there anything that i could put in my tank to help encourage the growth back on his tail??

thanks

Lots of water changes is the best for it unless it has gotten infected then you would want to use some meds for that.

What else is in the tank? If you don't have anything sensitive to salt, a little of that (1 tsp/gallon) would be helpful. Melafix would be better and will not interfere with the filter. Stay clear of anything stronger unless you really need it (ie the tail goes fuzzy, which would be finrot/columnaris or fungus, or does not heal at all) If you do use something stronger like antibiotics you'll want to isolate (use a quarantine tank) because they will totally kill your filter.
