poor guppy

i woke up to find one of my one of my redclaws fianaly got its claws on my favorite guppy! poor thing looks like her skull is crushed.... she can still eat and is still swimming after a nice long salt bath, and her fry are all doing fine. i havent had problems with the redclaws intill lastnight and i think that the gupp was giving birth when he got her becus she sleeps mid water and ive only seen redclaws going after things on the bottom. im taking the crabs to my LFS today to see if they can take them till they sell or i get my new tanks. about the only other thing i could think of is making a temp crab house out of a rubbermaid bucket.

ill get pics of my poor gupp later if shes still doing ok.

poor guppy, i hate to see anyfish injured, let alone a beautiful guppy.

Yep, once again things with claws eat fish. Dang eet. I hope she's okay. It seems fish and any other water critters can live just fine in those Rubbermaid storage tubs. Just scrub it out well, leave the lid off, add aeration, plants, heater, water(duh ), and everyone seems quite happy. Snowy did this with her fish for several weeks before moving. They loved it. And it was interesting watching the fish from above only. I guess it was a portable pond? Good luck with your guppy momma. It's always so traumatic when they get hurt or sick.
