Poor Girl :(

Well my blue and purple female Rain disappeared. I checked the floor, even though it would be pretty much impossible for her to jump out. Not there. Checked the tank everywhere, not there. Finally after ages of searching, I find her stuck behind the filter. I frantically search her for signs of life, and I see gill movement, so I yank the suction cupped filter from the side of the tank, and she waddles as fast as she can to the top for air.

I never knew bettas could hold their breath for such a long time. It was probably more than 30 minutes. I found she had serious fin damage, a slanted jaw, and a dent in her side. Probably from the other girls. Currently she is in a container with some salt and bettafix. Pray she gets better.

I hope she recovers. They are such little wrigglers they can get in the smallest spaces.

Awww, poor girl, I hope she pulls through.
Just sometimes, bettas are too curious for their own good I'm afraid. Bless their little hearts.

She's doing better today! The little thing can't get a pellet into her mouth because her lower jaw is bent.

She is still a bit stressed and has her fins clamped, but she is swimming still.
