So i though that adding loads of duckweed to the tank would stop The Apple snails destroying the plants i bought.
It is working well, with most of the snails now sepnding there time eating the duckweed with gusto.
I thing i forgot about was the Cories.
They came up for air and as they are Pygmy and Hastatus could not force themselves thru the Mat of Duckweed. Poor things were swimming around frantically looking for an air hole.
So quickly Took some Poly cups and cut them into rings and placed them around the tank to make air holes for them to breathe thru.
won't make that mistake again.
