Pooh Pooh Betta Picture.. And Questions!

First off.. I have a Betta! Rose Pedal.. pictures below. He always seems depressed these days.. just laying in the wistera and looking.. well just sad.. what will cheer him up?

also, can females be added or is that just a no or tempoary thing?

no females, no other males at all. at least not in his tank.

but try using a mirror see how he reacts if you want to see him flare. only for a few minutes a day thou.

did you just purchase him? if you did it may take a week for him to start showing peersonalty.

keep his water clean and feed him well and he should become more active.

I know no other malkes haha that would be really bad! but I did not know about females.. but I knew it was an iffy thing to do.. so I never did..

I bought him some tiem in may.. I have an eclipse on a 15 gallon.. it has been set up for years..

that would be great if you wanted to do many females. you could do 10 probably in that tank.

He will not attack them? I always heard he would attack females..

anyway.. I have big plants for that tank.. I am going to mod the hood light and give it 2.5 WPG and try and get a nice carpet... what would be a good substrate to put in it? hoiw far back will that set the cycling?

I think they meant that you could remove the male, and put a few females in, to better utilize all that space. 15 G is a lot for one betta. People call a bunch of females a "sorority" I would def try to do a sorority with that tank.

You could buy a 2.5G.

Or even a 1G.
